Temporarily CLOSED

The Children's Museum received substantial damage from Hurricane Laura. Please keep the museum and all of Southwest Louisiana in your thoughts and prayers as we go through the recovery process.

We appreciate your patience and support during this time. Please continue to follow us and craft with us at home. We hope to see you soon!

Dear Supporters and Members,

We hope you and your family are doing well. This year has been anything but normal. We miss the sounds of children playing and seeing children visiting while on field trips going in and out. In August, we were looking forward to a brand new school year and celebrating the holiday season. Mother Nature, of course, had other plans.

Unfortunately, like so many, the building that housed the Children’s Museum sustained catastrophic damage from Hurricane Laura. Regrettably many of our beloved exhibit areas did not make it.

It will take some time to come back but we are #SWLAStrong. We will come back stronger than before. We now look to the future as we move forward with plans for a new museum. Until we are able to reopen, we hope to see you all at community events and virtually on our social media pages. Make sure to still subscribe to our newsletter and pages so you will receive updates.

Sunnier days are ahead and we hope to see you soon!
