Booking Your Field Trip

The Children's Museum of Lake Charles invites you and your class to explore the world of science, arts and humanities!

Booking Your Field Trip and Other Notes:

• To book your group, please call 337-433-9420, Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please book your group early. The holiday season and spring fill up very quickly!

• Field Trips can last 1 to 3 hours depending on group size and age group.

• Please ask the office for suggestions when scheduling. (Please be on time. We may have other schools scheduled before or after you.)

• Please have one chaperone 18 years of age or older for every eight (8) children. Chaperones should help enforce museum rules.

• We recommend children wear nametags and/or different colored class shirts with the group or teacher's name. This makes it easy to identify groups when rotating.

• No gum, candy, food or drinks is allowed on the museum floor. NO running is allowed at any time! (Please enforce this.)

• A 24 hour notice of any cancellation is required.

• Please let the office know at the time of scheduling if you would like to reserve the party room areas for lunch or snack. Each party room will seat 30 children. Please clean your area when finished. For large groups we suggest eating at the park.

• Remember you are visiting a museum.

• Please review our Museum Rules with your group before arriving.Group rates apply to 10 or more people that are prescheduled and meet chaperone requirements.

• All groups are subject to approval by management.

Group Admission Price:

• Group rates are available Monday through Friday.

• A group consists of 10 or more paying customers and meets chaperone requirements.

• Groups must be prescheduled in order to receive group rate.

• All groups are subject to approval by management.

• Admission is $7.00 per person, including teachers and chaperones. (Teachers and paraprofessionals get in FREE with school id.)

• Infants 23 months and under are FREE.

Chaperone Information:

Chaperones must be at least 18 years of age. Please read and ENFORCE museum rules. For the safety of the children, it is important that the children remain with their assigned chaperone at ALL TIMES.
